Bakealicious Bakery Coming Soon to Cornmarket, Navan

Erm….well, I have something to tell you. Bakealicious is opening a shop in Navan!

If you are a regular customer of ours in Sheridans Cheesemongers this may be old news to you, as it seems to have been the world’s worst kept secret down there. We will be residing in Sheridans every Saturday of course…as we fear there could be Trump sized protests if we left. We also love those guys too much to leave them.

We hope to be open ASAP. Who knew that just wanting to sell cakes and coffee to the public on a more regular basis would take nearly 4 months’ worth of work? Planning, solicitors, the annual dreaded tax return, tile choosing, getting the playlists right, the furniture and of course deciding on our menu…it has all been a lot of work over these past 4 months.

Where are you located?

Our shop will be located in Old Cornmarket in Navan where Blackbird Books use to be.

What coffee are you going to serve?

We are serving Ariosa which is located in Ashbourne and is our fave coffee!! We also will be using compostable takeaway cups. We’ve seen Planet Earth and Planet Earth 2…those ice caps are melting!

So, what are you going to offer?

Course we’ll have our usual spelt cake and slices. Good tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We will provide occasion cakes to order for your special events. We hope to do a minimal menu of savoury items also. 

Will there be Cinnamon Buns/ Bakewells/ Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies?

Eh, yea! 7 days a week. And mince pies for the time of year that’s in it!

Did you know that nerves and excitement feel the exact same? All we can do is breath, right?!

We will be open soon and I can’t wait to feed you in our new home!
