Wouldn’t It Be Nice….

As Summer has finally made an appearance in my back garden this week, one of the perks of being self-employed is that you can relocate the office to facilitate such uncommon occurrences. After transferring my laptop to the garden table, it was time for lunch, I mean I had set up my laptop outside and turned it on.

Alfresco Office and some Spelt Cakes

I set about making lunch and brought it out to my makeshift alfresco office. There Bran (my Cocker Spaniel pictured below with highly luscious locks) and I sat mimicking a medieval feast as I threw him all the scraps I didn’t want and we were entertained by the Beach Boys.

As ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ came on, I began to think about my second love, Bakealicious. This song embodies all that I think about Bakealicious (and hopefully Bakealicious thinks about me) We have been in a committed relationship for nearly 2 years now.

Bakealicious – A Team Creating Spelt Cakes

Not so long ago, I was asked ‘if you don’t employ someone, they why do you always say ‘We, Ours, Us’ on social media posts etc.’ Apart from thinking that this person has very little to do but ask me these questions, my answer was ‘Bakealicious and I are a team, therefore it is ‘WE’! There is no ‘I’ in team’ (There also is no WE in team but I hoped that this person wouldn’t realised that until they had left)

Wouldn’t it be nice if we were older
Then we wouldn’t have to wait so long

Recently, I was given the chance to be older and not have to wait so long as I have started my very own Pop-Up Tearooms in our Cheesy Chums Sheridans Cheesemongers Shop, at the Old Virginia Road Station in Meath. Yes, the vintage wallpaper gazing and China cup collecting were not all in vain. And I am so excited about this opportunity.

Creating Spelt Cakes

As I’ve mentioned before Bakealicious is over one year in business. Within that time, I have met such amazing people and done things completely outside of my comfort zone.

Having an opportunity like this was greatly welcomed and I have been fortunate enough to have been giving free reign to create a space within their shop in my own sugar coated taste. Therefore we are moving in, moving in in style.

Bakealicious is offering you the opportunity to experience our spelt cakes and bakes as well as proper loose leaf teas and coffee that is roasted in Ashbourne in the surroundings of what once was a train station. We provide afternoon tea aswell as a healthy selection of lunch time treats and abundances of our signature cakes. Or if you’re in the area craving some fresh bread or cake, we can facilitate that need too.

You know it seems the more we talk about it
It only makes it worse to live without it

Never could truer words be said, so come and experience the Bakealicious Tearoom, Thursday to Saturday at Sheridans Cheesemongers, Old Virginia Road Station in Meath.

You know you want to…
